Among the first steps in the club formation checklist is finding just two more people willing to be board members and officers of the non-profit that will be formed. While the name Pactola Flying Club has been reserved with the South Dakota Secretary of State office, it need not be the final name of the club. The name was chosen simply to provide a starting point for formation. The name reservation is good till February 19, 2023, so if the minimum requirements to form the club have not been met by then it would be as appropriate a time as any to assess whether efforts should continue.
